A Little More Soothing Posted Monday, March 29, 2021 02:06 PM
I'm still tinkering, but I'll leave these tunes --I lost them on the other 'A Soothing'. So this is a work in progress. Good to keep the feet pattering during this awful pandemic-- there is a light out there! :-) Enjoy the music.... And there are more favorites below on General Discussion (A Little soothing) Back during frat days, those romantic days--with pretty college girlfriends, I remember my Phi Tau roommate at State enlightening me with those wonderful tunes back then (He had everything the Beatles ever recorded, including a large box of recording tapes). His comment at the time on the young Elton John--'He's harmless...' A favorite song of mine. Remember playing it on the jukebox on a slow and rainy PR night, and listening to it from the bar while carefully peeling the Pabst label off my longneck. Those wonderful PR nights...Bernie wiping down the bar...The brown-eyed girl at the corner booth beside the pinball machine....
The Players' Retreat (PR)
'Now Valerie's a woman....' Elton John - First Episode at Hienton (Elton John 5 of 13)
And another song to peel the Pabst label to....
And of course --The Beatles!
Steely Dan: "Reelin' In The Years" 2018 (HD)
A little more feet pattering....hope everyone is seeing the light at the end of that pandemic tunnel.
On still another slow and rainy night......a soulful dip into Georgia (two versions--both great)
Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah (Live In London)
Leslie Gore songs they sang at Marsha Murray's slumber parties. :-)
