Flipping around and saw Carolina up 16. 1957 rings a bell, another Kansas-Carolina National Championship game--Wilt the Stilt jumping at center to start the game against UNC's 5'9" Tommy Kearns.  The next day I was with my family at the Raleigh/Durham Airport getting autographs.  Got 8 Danny Lotz signatures.  My slight size kept getting pushed around back into the same group of fans over and over again.  Remember standing on the same linoleum square for the entire game for good luck a few feet from our black and white Sylvania TV set that Saturday night.  Thousands greeted the Frank McGuire-led Tar Heels Sunday afternoon.  That's little me (age 7) in the dark blue jacket and cap in front of my mom (wearing a light blue jacket).  That one Carolina won at the buzzer with Tommy Kearns heaving the ball into the rafters.
