Marsha was my best friend at Frances Lacy. I remember her poetry, singing songs by Lesley Gore when I spent the night at her house, and her positive attitude at the end of her life.

Memory Frome Suzi Adams Bowden...

I knew Marsha most of my life. We grew up in Coley Forest... we were in Brownies , girl scouts, went to Camp Seafarer together ... She always had a song and a story. Ever ready to listen to your problems and offer advice. She was the Dear Abby of our High School Class. She was so positive at the end of her life... I will forever remember her laughter, her smile, her poetry and her love of songs...she truly had a song in her heart for every occasion and everyone she loved.

I remember Marsha well from Martin Jr. High.  We had a social studies class together with football coach Lancaster, and he loved to pick on Marsha.  Marsha loved to talk in class....could not keep her mouth closed to save her life and coach L. was always telling her to be quiet and cracking jokes about her.  She could really make people laugh. Coach had a great sense of humor and listening to the two of them going at it in class was very entertaining. I used to ride the bus home sometimes and Marsha would be in the back of the bus with Suzi Adams and DA Vaden I think.  The three of them could raise some cane.  She was a sweetheart!

Just flipping through our Broughton blog and caught Suzi's and Judy's and Barry's warm comments about their close friend Marsha.

Marsha was my close friend, too, especially during our Lacy and Martin days--she lived around the block from me on Whitman in Coley Forest..  I remember Marsha's fun-loving mother--she was a pistol.  Marsha was like her mother--so much fun.  She and I were often called down for being a little chatty in class--but whether it was Mrs. Barret in first grade or Mr. Brag in tenth, our teachers never had a cross word for Marsha--she was just so funny and fun--the teachers loved her.

To Judy, Suzi, Barry, and me--Marsha was our good friend.

I did not meet Marsha until we were in High School. We never dated but I was attracted to her by her warm frendship and personaility... Will never forget her mother, she was alway welcoming, when I would drop by to visit with Marsha I never felt like I was intruding or interrupting, we were always allowed to sit and visit in the living room and talk.. which we did on many occasions! Marsha was a great help to me and always gave me advise on my personal issues. I will never forget her and she will always be in my thoughts, I miss her!!
