After graduating from NCSU in 1965, I went to work for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Co in West Palm Beach, FL. In 1966 I returned to NCSU to get a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering. After completing the graduate program in 1968, I went to work for The National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Hampton, VA. During my 38 year career at NASA, I worked on various civil and military aircraft research programs; my primary expertise is experimental and computational high-speed aerodynamics. In Dec. 2004 I retired from NASA and spent the next 10 years teaching mathematics at a small community college.
