Tell EJ Colia and Chris Gunnett I still don't know what "Hemhamforash" means, and it bums me out.
So, for the real story:
I spent a few years at Grossmont Correctional Facility.. uh, college before moving on to CSU Long Beach with the likes of Michael Jordan, Lisa Carlon, Gina Tambo's little sis, et. al. It was fun to be at a real university, and I was able to take my BS in music (wait, that's actually a BA - even though a music degree really is BS, when you think about it.) There I met lots of really talented musicians and even got to form a band with one of them - the incomparable Dave Dalton. Although we played lots of fun gigs and even made a CD, lightning struck the wrong part of my family tree and my cousin Adrian made it big instead of me. Oh well.
The second big chapter of my life started when I rededicated myself to motocross racing in the mid-late '90s and actually got a lot better at it than I ever was in High School. I am proud to say I was successful in winning some pretty big races in the age classes, and I even hold a few championships from series races. It's fun and it keeps me in shape (sort of...) That led me to several jobs in the motorcycle industry and eventually to my current gig with Yamaha.
Probably the most important thing to ever happen to me was meeting my wife, about 2 weeks after her 18th birthday (oh yeah, I'm a cradle robber!) We have the greatest kid in the world - seriously, she shouts "I...AM...THE...GREATEST!" just like Ali. I don't know where she got that, but I love it.
And that's about it. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody soon.
Hmmmm... is it the great "I got stuck standing in the wrong picture for the yearbook" saga (immortalized in the very center of our senior yearbook,) or the many "your dad gave me an 'F'" stories? I just don't know for sure.
