Life since High School:
After graduating from RHS in 89 I attended BYU for a year before serving a church mission in Costa Rica for two years. After finishing my mission I returned to BYU where I met Cristie and then upon graduating from BYU in history and Spanish I went out searching for a teaching position. With the help of Coach Schaffer I interviewed for a job at RHS but was turned down. However, I was offered a job teaching history at the middle school. I taught for five years and coached basketball at the middle school and eventually became the high school varsity coach. After five years of teaching, I stepped down from coaching to take the assistant principal job at the middle school for the next five years. When the high school principal decided to retire two years ago I was approached and offered the position of Ramona High School Principal. I am starting my third year as principal of the same high school where I couldn't get hired as a teacher! I have since enjoyed being in charge of the teachers who sat in on my interview for a teaching position and who turned me down!
Cristie and I have four wonderful children and are very happy in Ramona. As you would expect my kids are basketball fans but not so much from my love for basketball but from Cristie who played basketball at BYU where we met.
