Joseph A. Huntley

RANDOLPH — Joseph Albert Huntley, 39, of Randolph, died suddenly at work, Smitty's Flooring, in Randolph on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001.

He was born in Randolph June 28, 1962, the son of Raymond and Irene (Huntley) Litchfield. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1980. He had been employed at Smitty's Flooring in Randolph for 18 years.

He married Tonya Atherton Young of Randolph in 1994. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, grooming the snowmobile trails, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Sierra Rule of Randolph.

He leaves his wife of Randolph; his father and step-mother Gail of Burlington; his mother of Frostproof, Fla.; stepmother, Susan Gibbs of Wolcott; three daughters, Suzanne Huntley, Hope Young and Katrena Young, all of Randolph; a sister, Marie Norton of Braintree; a brother, Scott Litchfield of Worcester, Mass.; five half-sisters, Amy Petrucelli of Framingham, Mass., Betsy Petrucelli of Florida; Nicole Belnap of Waitsfield, Jennifer VanDamm of Portland, Maine, and Virginia Litchfield of Castleton; a granddaughter, Sierra Rule of Randolph; and his material grandmother, Bessie Huntley of Randolph.

He was pre-deceased by two half-brothers, Frankie and Billy Petrucelli, and his maternal grandfather, Lema Huntley.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Green Mountain Chapel with Rev. Ronald Rilling officiating. The congregation sang "Amazing Grace." The organist was Sandra Rilling. A time of sharing was given by Ken Smith, David Huntley, Wanda Huntley, Scott Huntley and Susan Gibbs, and daughter, Suzanne Huntley. Bearers were Bill Holbrook, Mark Ramsey, John Messier, Mike Sheldon, Chris Haupt, Andy Rogers, Alex Goad, and Dean Dewey.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Day Funeral Home.
