Ross was one of my best friends in grade school and in high school.  We even rented a house for one year together while we attended Spokane Falls Community College.  I know what he did for part of his life, but not everything.  I had the opportunity to chat with his father and his first wife Pam.  This is what I know about Ross.

Ross was born on July 2, 1954. He attended Edwall Grade School through 1st – 8th grade.  During those years, Ross’s family was the only family that had a decent size swimming pool in Edwall.  During the summers, we would all come and visit Ross and would hope he would say, “Do you want to go swimming?”  Of course, we all would say YES!   When we all became of age to drive, Ross had his “own” wheels.  Ross had some very nice cars during high school and college.  Ross received an AA degree from SFCC and attended WSU to work on his Bachelor’s degree.   He worked for Kaiser Aluminum out in the Spokane Valley.  He married a girl name Pam.  They had two daughters.  His first daughter is Dawn Marie.  She graduated from WSU’s Nursing School and is married to one of the football coaches of the University of Idaho.  Dawn and her husband have two girls.  Ross’s second daughter is Stacey Lynn.  She too graduated from WSU and is a psychology nurse in Hawaii.  Both of Ross’s daughters are doing very well.

Ross and Pam divorced, but later he married Susan Krupke.    At this point, I lost track of Ross.  I know Ross was having problems with his liver and kidneys.  Ross passed away on April 25, 1998.  He was 43 years old.  Hopefully, someone will be able to add more about Ross’s life during this time.

I had many “adventures” with Ross.  We had many fun times.  Ross was very creative and always could think of something to do.  It may not have been the smartest thing to do, but it seemed to be lots of fun back then.

Ross, I miss you.

Andy

I was happy reading this tribute to Ross. After high school, I knew very little about his life. It is especially nice to read about his two daughters, and to know that now he has grandchildren. It sounds like one of his greatest contributions to this world is those daughters of his, the lives they're leading, the people they are touching and the children they are sending on into the world. In this way, Ross has a very special legacy. He was a guy with a sparkling sense of humor, and that's what I happily remember about him.
