I shared a few classes with Reed and found him to be such a wonderful soul. I've recently discovered the place that you can get where life seems so dark and you just want to give up. I wish he would have surfed the wave of those demons and didn't give up so soon. I went thru the wave at 26 and now at 51 I'm suffering again. I'm working on changing my circumstances. For those of you that haven't gone thru depression, it is incomprehensible to imagine taking your own life. There are many of us that try to fight just to make it thru the day. I'm definitely not judging Reed, I just wish that he gave life more time before giving up. Regardless, he will always hold a special place in my heart. It's been more than 30 years and I haven't stopped thinking about him... or Mark Mehringer. Friends who left too early and it was by choice. That's the hardest part. I hope Reed's family finds comfort that he has never been forgotten.
