Greetings to all my classmates still living!
Even though I won’t be able to make the reunion, you are in my thoughts and prayers. A quick synopsis after high school:
—Earned a degree in music (pipe organ) from Cal State University, Chico.
—Married to Paul Strieby 45 years ago! (and going strong)
—Worked in various churches as an organist or organist/choir director.
—We had three children which were homeschooled a good part of the time.
—Worked as a substitute teacher in the public schools of Modesto, CA.
—Had a TV program on Christian television for one year called “I Witness” where I interviewed those who had special testimonies. The first programs were extra-special because I had the privilege of interviewing Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, author of “ “Tortured for Christ” and founder of Voice of the Martyrs.
—The beginning of 2001 our first-born son was missing for three weeks before his body was found. There is more about that on our website: striebylife.com
—We moved to Florida in the spring of 2002, then up to New Hampshire in October of that year. Every part of the steps that led us to NH is so amazing! (I could write a book) We know God has brought us here for a purpose which is still in the process of unfolding.
My life has been a far greater adventure than I ever anticipated. Hard? Yes. Especially the brain injury I had from falling on ice in 2003. But there has been so much GOOD. God is GOOD! My knowledge of His goodness has increased SO much these last fifty years.
If you ever find yourself in NH, please come to our small farm for a visit and some tea! I will tell you “the rest of the story” and gladly listen to your story. Otherwise, may we meet in Heaven!
