Penny taught French in the South Redford School District until pink slips encouraged her to move on to use a computer degree to work at Ford Credit.  In 1995 she married Burt King, blending her son and daughter with Burt’s three daughters.  She had ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Penny was a very involved and loving grandmother and even took tap dancing lessons with one of her granddaughters. She had an enormous sense of fun and adventure, skiing in the Alps and traveling numerous times to Europe. There wasn’t much she wouldn’t try! She and Burt enjoyed sailing on his boat and skiing in the winter. They enjoyed a condo in Florida during the winter months and made frequent trips to Hawaii. She, her parents, and sister also had an exciting time trying out for TV’s “Family Feud” and came close to making the cut!
