Remember the "dirty vulgar song the FBI investigated for 2 years:

Louie, Louie,

me gotta go.

Louie, Louie,

me gotta go.

A fine little girl, she wait for me;

me catch a ship across the sea.

I sailed the ship all alone;

I never think I’ll make it home

Three nights and days we sailed the sea;

me think of girl constantly.

On the ship, I dream she there;

I smell the rose, in her hair.

Me see Jamaica moon above;

It won’t be long me see me love.

Me take her in my arms and then

 I tell her I never leave again.

I remember a raunchy version of Louie-Louie from my college days. I think Bob Bedard was in the band, where I learned the words from the bands leader. Maybe, we could ask him to sing us a tune or two.

Jerry,

Actually, I remember "The Kingsman" singing this song in '63. Checked out wikipedia to help resotore the memory and to be sure that this is not another "senior moment." So the FBI had nothing better to do than check out the controversy about the obsenity verses and found nothing.

HA! Maybe, just maybe, we just wanted to hear the words that were going around. Maybe, we just wanted something more than a sanitized world. Maybe, we just wanted to get a bit dirty at parties and sing, scream and yell out our raging sexuality. I liked then and still like saliors story of wanting to get it on.

Unfortunately, this is not part of senior moments, I have never been that good at remembering all of the verses of songs. Just bits and pieces of verse, still tantilize the neurons

Jerry,

Just did a bit of google and listened to a number of versions. Some were obviously sanitized, but this is the remembered one.

Now, the synapses are firing and it all comes back.

Thanks for the "Senior Moment"!!!
