I first met Gary at Franklin Elemantry school in 1962; I know because I left there the next year. I was quite young and confused about how big the world was at that time. He ran funny as I recalled and when asked about what his favorite song was, he said, "Dancing in the street". I had never heard of it before and laughed with the rest of the class. That song didn't even get recorded by the Vandellas until 1964! It was copied by a few groups and even Bowie later on. Gary was ahead of everyone!
I'm sorry Gary. I remember you from Moore Jr. High. I know it wasn't easy for you. I always felt so bad for you. Hope you found some happiness in your lifetime. You are in Heaven now.

I always felt sad for you Gary. I tried to always say hi when I saw you at school. So many kids back then were mean to you. Hope you were happy.
Aloha, Tani
