I remember Tony as a kind and sweet guy who accepted people without judging.  The biggest complement I can give him was that he won over my mother who would otherwise disapproved of his long beautiful hair.  He was so polite and warm when he met her that the long hair didn't matter anymore.

Tony - We sat alphabetically next to each other for our world history class, and I got to know you a bit. I always appreciated your genuine compliments towards me and your personal style. I made you an embroidered piece of jewelry as a token of friendship; which you offered payment for but I refused. We were solid friends from there. Wish you could be here.

The gift Tony gave to so many of us was his unconditional friendship.  His warm smile, his kind words, he was truely a special person.  What a tribute to the person he was that so many of us remember him well.

Miss you Tony.

When Tony died, my Mom  (bless her) cut his obituary out of the paper and sent it to me in Iowa where I was (briefly) living.  I cried for days...he was gentle, strong, and possessed of a persistent guerilla Christianity.  His sister Vangie Reyna sent me a woven belt of his, remembering that he had once made me a guitar strap (long since disintegrated).  It happened to go very well with my red Guild guitar, and I made a guitar strap out of it which remains on the Guild to this day--so I always carry a little bit of him with me. He won hearts wherever he went.  I still miss him.

I remember his face and hair.  I did not know him personally, but from all these comments, he sounds like a wonderful person.  He and family are in my prayers.  God Bless.
