Earl Christensen 1933 - 1998

Funeral services for Earl Christensen, 64, Kennebec, were held Friday, Jan. 30 at the United Methodist Church in Kennebec with the Rev. Wayne Tieszen officiating. Mr. Christensen passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Mid Dakota Hospital in Chamberlain.

Earl was born north of Reliance Mar. 5, 1933, to George and Edna (Werner) Christensen. He attended Iron Nation School then graduated from Reliance High School in 1951. 

He enlisted in the US Air Force April 8, 1953, serving during the Korean War, and was discharged July 16, 1954.

June 5, 1954, he married JoAnn Lien at Kennebec. They started ranching and farming at that time and were still farming and ranching at the time of his passing.

Earl enjoyed many things throughout his life. One of his greatest joys wasspending time with his eight grandchildren. He loved working the land, the river breaks, playing basketball with his grandchildren, rodeos, bowling and a good game of cards. He believe in living life to the fullest with a readu smile and a handshake. He will be missed.
