MASON CITY, IA — Dale D. Byre, 62, of Mason City, died Thursday (Dec. 18, 2003) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Chamberlain, SD. Dale was born on March 2, 1941, in Iron Nation, S.D., to John and Emily Byre.
He was then united in marriage to Gail Bingen in 1962. His pride and joy were his four sons and the birth of his grandson, Dillon, age 3.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Byre, of Mason City; his son, Dale Byre Jr. and wife, Ra’Londa, of Lincoln, Neb.; his son, Brett Byre and wife, Julie, of Green Bay, Wis.; his son, Bryan Byre and wife, Stacy, of Des Moines; and his son, Jesse Byre and Kelly Janssen of Mason City; his grandson, Dillon Byre of Lincoln, Neb.; brothers, Ed Byre of Reliance, Elton Byre and wife, Jody, of Sioux Falls; sisters, JoAnn Porterfield and husband, Art, of Trapper Creek, Alaska, Jean Anderson and husband, Lee, of Reliance and many nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emily Byre; an infant daughter, Laurel Ann, and a nephew, Wade Byre.
