Dorothy Marsden Hall 1921-2001

Dorothy Hall, 79, died September 3, 2001 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls.  Funeral Services will be held  Thursday, September 6, 2001 at 2pm at the United Methodist Church in Reliance.  Burial will be in the Reliance Cemetery.  Visitation is at Wevik Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain from 1pm to 8pm, Wednesday, with a prayer service at 7pm.

Dorothy was born December 29, 1921 in Reliance on the Dale place to Jobe and Violet (Parkening) Marsden.  She attended grade school at Reliance, then graduated from Reliance High School in 1940.  She then attended a Business College in Mitchell.  

She was united in marriage to Dale Hall August 17, 1941, in Bassett, Nebraska.  They farmed in the Reliance area until retirement.  They continued living on the farm until moving to Pierre, due to ill health.  They then moved to Chamberlain  and in 1997, she made her home at the Sunset Valley Haven Nursing Home.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Ladies Associates.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Hall, Oacoma, and Lance Hall, San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Lana Schuh, Gann Valley; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son.
