Tillie Husman 8/23/1925-4/9/2012

Presho-Matilda B. (Tillie) Husman, 86 died Monday April 9. 2012 at Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospace House. She was born August 23, 1925 on the family farm south of Reliance to Ludwig and Katherine (Heib) Burkhardt. She grew up in the Reliance area graduating from Reliance High School in 1944. On Nov 2 1947 Tillie married Lloyd Husman Sr. and togther had four children, Lloyd Jr, Linda, Lowell and Lynn. They began their life in Reliance. In 1956 they moved to Fairfax and in 1959 they settled in Presho where Lloyd and Tillie managed the Farmers Co-op. In 1965 they purchased the Husman Grocery and soon added Husman's Clothing. Eventually Tillie bought and managed The Unique Shop a ladies dress shop in Chamberlain. She retired in 2008. Tillie was a loving wife and mother she collected porcelain dolls enjoyed bowling and golfing and also had a hole in one at age 75. Survivors include Lloyd Jr. Presho, Linda Hoyt, Lowell and Lynn (Becky) all of Rapid City, 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Tillie was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Husman Sr. four sisters and one infant brother.
