Howard L. Bartholow  1927-1982

Funeral services for Howard L. Bartholow, 55, Reliance will be held at 2pm at the United Methodist Church in Reliance with the Reverend Eric Grinager officiating.  Burial was made in the Reliance Cemetery.  Mr. Bartholow died in his farm home on Monday.

Howard L. Bartholow was born January 14, 1927 to Robert L. and  Mary Jane Bartholow at Reliance.  He attended grade school at Reliance and graduated from Reliance High School.  

From February, 1951 to February 1953, he served in The United States Army.  After he returned home, he farmed and ranched until the time of his death.

Survivors include two brothers, Ronald F. and Donald B. Bartholow, both of Reliance; three sisters: Selma Bunker (his twin sister) of Reliance; Evelyn Bingen of Vermillion, SD, and  Betty Isburg of Chamberlain.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Jean Hieb.
