James Lynn Graves 1948-1972

Funeral services for James Lynn Graves, 24, were held Tuesday from the Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Reliance with the Reverend William Philben officiating.  Burial was in the Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery.  Mr. Graves passed away in The Veterans Administration Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.

James Lynn Graves was born February 19, 1948 at Chamberlainto Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Graves of Reliance, and spent all of his life there, except for his military service from  April 10, 1968 through March 31, 1970.  His assignment most of that time to duty was in Germany.  While in the service, he developed a brain tumor and he was operated on in Minneapolis.  He later became blind and had been ill since that time.

Surviving relatives are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Graves of Reliance and five brothers:  Richard of Reliance, Donald and Robert of Cincinatti, Ohio, Raymond, of Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, and Dennis of Reliance.
