Francis 'France' Cullen 1908-1986
France Cullen was born at Reliance, SD, on November 27, 1908. His parents were William V. and Mary Cullen.
He attended all twelve years of school at Reliance. He attended Vermillion College for one year. He then managed the Kadoka Motel in Kadoka, SD until he was drafted in the Army in 1942. He spent most of his service in India. He was discharged when the war ended in 1945.
He owned and operated a service station in Reliance until he was elected County Highway Superintendent at Kennebec. He held this position until he retired in 1982.
Later he moved to Chamberlain, SD to be near his brother and lived there until his death in 1986.
