Oliver Norman Berg   1910 -  Sept. 1980

Funeral services for Oliver N. Berg, will be today from the United Methodist Church in Reliance with the Rev. John Jacoway  officiating . Burial will be in the Reliance Cemetery.

Mr. Berg died Monday, Sept.,8, 1980, at Chamberlain.

Oliver Norman Berg was born Feb. 5, 1910, at Reliance to Oliver  and Martha  Berg. He attended grade school and high school at Reliance.

June 3, 1933, he married Alice Eleeson at Kennebec. They worked on a farm until they purchased  their farm near Reliance in 1939. In 1965, they moved into Reliance where they owned and operated Berg’s Market until he retired in 1974.

Survivors in addition to Mrs. Berg, include three sons: Curtis, Montevideo, Minn., Royce, Fulda, Minn. and Tony, Sioux City, Iowa; two daughters: Mrs. Ray (Jill) Feist, Mankato, Minn., and Julie Berg, Urbana, Iowa; one brother, Walter Berg, Reliance; two sisters: Mrs. Dallas (Norma) Kayser, Pierre, and Mrs. Adrian (Venita) Lester, Chamberlain, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

McColley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
