Funeral services for Belle E. Miller, 79, Reliance, were @1:30 pm, Tuesday, March 7, 1989, in the United Methodist Church, Reliance.  The Reverend Bob Brown and Reverend Dan Freed officiated.

Burial was in Reliance Cemetery.

She died Friday in McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.

Belle Larson was born August 8, 1909, to Mary (Becker) and Andrew Larson in Lynd, Minnesota.  She received her elementary education in the Hamill school and in 1929, graduated from Reliance High School.

She married Vern Miller on May 25, 1929, in Kennebec.  Most of her life was spent on their farm in the Reliance community.  After retiring, they moved into Reliance.

Mrs. Miller was an active member of the United Methodist Church and the UMW Society, having served for a time as president.  She was a member of Lyman Loyal Ladies Extension Club and the Reliance senior citizens.

Survivors, besides her husband, include a son, Gerald of Mitchell; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren; teo brothers:  Harold Larson of Winner and Richard Larson of Burke; twin sisters, Dorothy Tyndall of Alliance, Nebraska, and Irene Larson of Winner.

She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
