Funeral services for Neva B. Erickson, 86, Rapid City, formerly of Reliance, will be held at the First Methodist Church in Rapid City Friday, May 8th at 3pm with the Reverends Randy Cross and Greg Kroger officiating, and at the United Methodist Church in Reliance Saturday, May 9th with Reverend Wayne Tieszen officiating.  Mrs. Erickson passed away Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at the Rapid City Care Center.

Neva B. Fletcher was born February 1, 1912, near Reliance to Will and Lillian (Johnson) Fletcher.  She attended schools in the Reliance area and graduated Reliance High School in 1931.

September 10, 1935, Neva married Peter B. Erickson at Mitchell.  They lived in Murdo for seven years, then moved to Omaha (Bellevue), Nebraska, where they lived for three years.  In 1945 they moved to a farm north of Reliance, where they farmed for many years.  In later years they operated Erickson's Greenhouse until Pete's passing in 1981.

Neva moved to Rapid City in 1986.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rapid City and formerly a member of the United Methodist Church in Reliance.

Thankful for having shared her life are her son, Robert and his wife Lyla of Gillette, Wyoming; three daughters: Joann (Jody) and husband Leroy Ketel, Rapid City,  Betty and her husband Gene Korzan, Kimball, and Karen Lantz, Rapid City; 10 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-great-grandchild; 5 brothers: Evert,  Reliance, Clifford,  Alliance, Ne., Laurel, Tucson, Az,  Dick, Houston, Tx, and Larry, St. Paul, Mn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and an infant grandson.
Internment will be in the Reliance Cemetary.

Osheim-Catron Funeral Home in Rapid City is in charge of arrangements.
