Vera Fletcher Lackey 1916-1988

Funeral services for Vera Lackey, 72, were at 11am saturday, April 9, 1988, in Forest Park Chapel in Houston, Texas, with the Reverend Howasr Caesar officiating.

Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston.  She died April 6th in St. Lukes Hospital in Houston.

Vera D. Fletcher was born to Lillian and William Fletcher in Reliance, SD.  She lived on several farms with her family and graduated from Reliance High School.  She went to Omaha to school and work.

She married Glen Lackey in Omaha in 1958.  They lived there a few years and then moved to Houston.

Survivors besides her husband, include a son Robert, and a daughter, Dyan, both of Houston; five brothers: Evert of Reliance, Larry of St. Paul, Mn., Cliff of Alliance, Ne., Laural of Tucson, Az., and Richard of Houston, two sisters: Irma Fisk of Houston, and Neva Erickson of Rapid City, SD, and one granddaughter.
