Evelyn Louise Bartholow  Apr 3, 19992 -Oct. 24, 1995

Funeral services for Evelyn L. Savery, Moorhead, IA., were held at the American Lutheran Church in Presho with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Mrs. Savery passed away Oct. 24, 1995, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Evelyn Louise Bartholow was born Apr. 3, 1922, to Robert L. and Mary Jane (Howard) Bartholow.

After receiving her teaching degree, she taught in several schools in South Dakota, including Reliance.

Evelyn married Charles H. Bingen Aug. 1, 1942, at Presho. He passed away Nov. 7, 1975.

She had been a resident of Vermillion prior to her marriage to Lyle Savery Nov. 17, 1990, at Vermillion. The couple made their home at Moorhead.  Mr. Savery passed away July 9, 1994, in Onawa, IA.

She was a member of the Methodist church in Reliance, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in South Sioux City, NE, the Vermillion Legion Auxilliary #3061 and the Rebekah Lodge #28 in Vermillion.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail and husband Dale Byre, Mason City, IA.; three sons: Cuck and wife Jan, Vermillion, Kent and Dianna and Joel and Kim, all of Rapid City; 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; two brothers: Donald Bartholow, Chamberlain, and Robert Bartholow, Reliance; two sisters: Selma Bunker, Reliance, and Betty Isburg, Chamberlain and a special friend, Jody Meyer, Rapid City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, son Randy, granddaughter, Laurel Ann Byre; her sister, Mary Jane Hieb, and brother, Howard Bartholow.

Interment was in the Presho Cemetery.

Hoffmeister Funeral Home, Presho, was in charge of arrangements.
