Walter Conrad Thietje  1905-1985

Funeral services for Walter Conrad Thietje, 80, Reliance, were held at 2pm, Thursday, December 26, 1985 in McColley Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Chuck Hardesty officiating.

Burial was in the Reliance Cemetery.

He died December 22 in his home.

He was born June 14, 1905, in Hillside to Martha (Baumgart) and Fred Thietje.  As a child he moved with his parents to White River and then to Reliance where he attended grade school and graduated from Reliance High School.  He graduated with a B.A. degree from the University of South Dakota.

He served in the U.S. Army
