Donna Monson, 7/5/1929-3/7/2011

A mass of Christian burial  for Donna Monson of Rapid CIty, who died  Monday, March 7, 2011, at her home, was held on March 10, 2011 at Catherdral of our Lady of Perpetual Help. Interment followed at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
Donna (Hicky) Monson was born July 5, 1929 and grew up in the Lower Brule area.  Donna graduated from Reliance High School.
Donna is survived by her three sons, Randy (Bette), Leawood, Kan., Fred (Eva), Rapid City, and Terry (Rayann), Rapid City; three daughters, Chicky (Ray) Townsend, Sioux Falls, Danette (Gary) Laramore, Gillette, Wyo., and Geralyn (friend Les) Smiley, Bothell, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Loretta (Paul) Harris and family, Sioux Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Monson.
A memorial has been established to benefit the Rapid City Club for Boys, 320 N. Fourth St., Rapid City, SD 57701.
