Louise "Adell" Fields-Martin             

Louise "Adell" Martin, 75, of Brighton, CO (formerly of Riverton, WY/Chamberlain, SD) passed away peacefully on January 11, 2012  at Hospice Care of Boulder/Broomfield Counties in Louisville, CO.  Adell was born on March 9, 1936 to Charles and Bertha (Monson) Fields in Harrison, NE.  She attended school in Reliance, SD where she married Melvin Surat in December, 1952.  She later relocated to Riverton, WY where she worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years for Clifford H. Moore & Co. until she retired in June 2008.  Upon her retirement, she relocated to Brighton, CO to live with her daughter Tammy and family where she resided until her death.

   Adell enjoyed walks in the sun, spending time with family, collecting salt and pepper shakers, putting puzzles together, word searches, and watching her grandkids in their various activities. Adell was a member of Valley View Community Church in Henderson, CO where she attended with her daughter Tammy's family.  She was a great mother and loved her family tremendously.

   She is survived by her sisters Delora Lloyd and Wanita Turner, children Deborah Surat, Riverton, WY, Monte (Sheryl) Surat, St. Mary's, PA, Tim Surat (Karen Barr), Worland, WY, and Tammy (Russ) Carr, Brighton, CO, 15 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Doug Surat, sister Dera Sly, mother Bertha Brinker and grandson Willard Surat.

  An open house will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 2-4 at the Carr Family home in Brighton.

Memorial Services will be held on January 27, 2012 in Riverton, WY at 11:00 a.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Tim Trippel.

   Memorial services will also be held at the Hickey Funeral Home, Chamberlain, SD at 10:30 a.m. on January 31st, 2012 with internment at the Reliance Cemetery,  Reliance, SD where Adell will be laid to rest beside her mother.
