Sharon passed away December 26th, 2016 at her sister's house in Lincoln, California
Sharon was born March 31, 1948 in Stillwater, OK to Mary Caroline and Samuel Jerdean Clark. She grew up in Reno, NV and graduated from Reno High School in 1966. She went on to graduate from University of Nevada Reno in 1970 with a B.S. in Accounting. While at Nevada Reno, she met Lawrence Schultze and they were married on August 16, 1969 and were married for 47 years.
Sharon was involved with the Girl Scouts of America as a child and teenager along with her sisters. Her mother was the Scout Leader, and they went on numerous camping trips with the Scouts. After college, Sharon and Larry both became very involved in bowling, golf and Nevada Reno Athletics. Sharon became the Executive Director of the Northern Nevada Women's Golf Association. She was also active with the Junior Golf in Reno. She later became a member of the LPGA Women's Amateur Pub Links rules committee and officiated at numerous LPGA Tournaments. She also participated in numerous events as a golfer and won many awards. She had a Hole-in-One at Sierra Sage Golf Course in Stead, NV. Sharon bowled for years and was league secretary for numerous leagues. She also bowled with her sister and mother for many of those years and attended many Nevada Women's State Bowling Tournaments and a few Women's National Bowling Tournaments. She and Larry were also very big supporters of Nevada Reno Athletics. They had season tickets for Nevada Football and both Men's and Women's Basketball for many years.
Sharon is survived by her husband Larry, step-father Vernon Heppner, sisters Joyce (Basil) Zarkadis, Peggy (Doug) Hahn, brothers Douglas Clark and Jerry Clark, step-brother Barry (Weslynne) Heppner and step-sister Tami Lewis. She also enjoyed her numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Samuel Clark and her mother Caroline Heppner.
A memorial service will be held at the Walton Funeral home, 875 West 2nd Street, in Reno, NV on January 21st at 10:00 a.m. Following the service will be a reception at Hidden Valley Country Club from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
