Mark Charles Leveroni Born in San Francisco on September 14, 1947, Mark Charles Leveroni lived his life fully. He died on January 02, 2010 at 7:30 am at home in Chico. He served in Viet Nam from 1967-68 as a combat medic during the Tet Offensive and in Dak To. Mark was a decorated veteran. He received a Bronze Star for bravery, a Commendation for Meritorious Service and a Purple Heart. He was a man who, since that time, had sought reconciliation and peace. Following his return from Vietnam, he received his bachelor's degree and went on to teach for a few years as an associate professor at Chico State University. He attended San Rafael High School and graduated from UNR. In his later years, he offered counsel to returning vets from Iraq and Afghanistan. He has two amazing children, Heather Leveroni, married to Andrew Headrick, they live in San Francisco, and Tim Leveroni, who now resides in Viet Nam and teaches English. He is survived by his mother Aurora Leveroni of Graeagle, CA,, his sister Valerie Leveroni Corral of Davenport, CA, the mother of his children, Amanda Leveroni of Chico, CA, and his beloved dog, Harley. He liked rock n' roll, jazz, fast cars, Dom Perignon, and pastries. We will honor Mark on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Mim's Bakery, 890 Humboldt, Chico, CA. Please join us.
