MT. PLEASANT-- Louis Ronald Oldham, died of cancer in his home June 21, 2013.
Ron was born Oct. 16, 1948, in Reno, NV; to Louis R. and Nedra Oldham.
He married Donna Charlene Wetherbee, June 12, 1971, in Reno, NV.
Ron loved the Bible and always wanted to share scriptures with others. He became a baptized minister of Jehovah's Witnesses Aug. 18, 1962.
He moved his family to Mt. Pleasant around 1974. The family moved away around 1985 and after being gone for many years was able to move back to an area he loved very much.
His love of photography allowed him to enjoy the love of outdoors, taking every opportunity to snap a shot. It didn't matter if he was driving his truck and happened to see an accident. He passed this joy of photography onto his daughters as well.
Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlene, who remains in Mt. Pleasant; daughters, Rhonda Treptoe, Moab; and Sara Jones, Garner, NC; grandchildren, Randy Treptoe; Chloe Jones and Jasmynne Jones, as well as his brother, Kenneth, Seattle, WA; and sisters, Sherrie Johansen, Mt. Pleasant; Luann and Ellie Oldham, both of Hebron, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a memorial talk for Ron at 1 p.m., July 6, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 650 East 300 South, Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
