He loved to work on cars and enjoyed racing in the local Reno SCCA for over three decades. He loved his dogs, hiking and going camping in the Sierra mountains.

He was a proud father & grandfather, a loving brother and reliable friend to many in the Reno area. He had a kind soul and generous heart. He will be greatly missed.

John was my best friend at Reno High, taught me how to ride a mototcyle, spent many a Friday and Saturday night cruising downtown Reno, did our basic training (Army at Ft. Polk, LA) and advanced individual training (AIT) for combat medics at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX .

In May 1969, John was "Best Man" at my wedding to the love of my life: Sharon Haugen.. I moved to Las Vegas in 1972 and moved back to Reno 2002.  Caught up with him while I was working for local CPA where John was a long time client.
