James has given melanoma the boot and moved on to his new garden.
He was born to Jennie Mae Williams and William J. Ryan in Reno, NV. Jim attended Elementary School thru High School in Reno and went on to earn his Zoology degree at University of Nevada Reno. Jim served as a Captain in the Army during the Vietnam Era specializing in the Field Artillery. He then attended Idaho State University where he earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. Jim practiced pharmacy in the Salt Lake City, UT area for almost 40 years, as a Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy manager, and of course, always a preceptor for many technicians, interns, and externs. Jim also, served in the Army Reserve in the Salt Lake area for quite some time. He had exceptional self discipline and was an excellent provider. His love for gardening is apparent, to this day, by the appearance of his many earthly gardens. Jim took pride in his dogs by helping Cora keep them well groomed. Jim had an only sibling, Thelma Sheetz (deceased); He is survived by his wife, Cora Le Ryan; Daughter, Julie Anne Scoffield, and her children, Jaxon and Haley Scoffield; Daughter, Jamie Lee Smith, and her child, Chloe Elizabeth Karpakis; and Daughter, Holly Ann Smith Herrera.
