To the Conn Family. I am very sorry for the loss of your wife, mother and grandmother. I know that she was very special to you and she wil be missed every day. She had a wonderful life and touched everyone she met. Tom I know it has not been easy for you the past few years and I know your heart is empty right now. May peace soon be yours.
After a 4-year battle with lung cancer, Nora passed from this earthly world to her eternal life on Friday, May 12th. Nora was born in New Jersey but raised in Reno where she graduated from Reno High. No matter where Nora lived, her life was full, adventurous, and successful. In Alabama she had her family and was hired as the first female linesperson for the telephone company. In Florida she was a dive master, became a skilled sailor, and obtained her nursing degree. Upon returning to Reno, she became a beloved labor and delivery nurse at St. Mary's Hospital.
Nora is survived by her husband Tom; mother Louise Story (John); Children: daughter Claudia, and Christopher, Amy and Jody; Grandchildren: Will and Alysa; Siblings: Becky, Geoff and Amanda; Nieces/Nephews: Suzanne, John, Owen and Niamh; and Cousin John and family.
A service to honor her life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 Island Ave. in downtown Reno on Saturday, June 3 at 1:00. A time of fellowship will follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lung Cancer Alliance online, by phone, or mail: PO Box 418372, Boston, MA 02241 (202-463-2080)
