Bill Bain and Terry were co-captains of our 1962 regional champion baseball team. When you get a moment, check out the comments on Terry's profile page from his classmates and friends.
Terry and I were not close friends in high school but became so in 2012 as we worked together in the planning of our 50th class reunion in 2012. In the language of our day, "he was a really neat guy!!!"
One summer when we were about 16 or 17, Carol and I were in her car (which she shared with Terry), and I ended up behind the wheel - for what reason I do not remember - but it was over by the old post office. As I turned left at the corner , which dead-ended at the railroad tracks - I lost control and hit a really big tree in someone's front yard! Of course, parents were involved (duh) and as I recall, my dad paid Terry's dad for the damages and I got grounded. Carol forgave me, but I don't think Terry ever did, no matter how many times I apologized. I felt so bad - and I still do! It was one of those dumb teenage actions that stays in your mind forever!
