I am very sad to share that Holland died in October 2025 after a short illness related to his service in Viet Nam in the early 70's. His wife Floy said he truly enjoyed our class reunions and had many fond memories of his time at RHS. He shared fun stories with his family and remembered how he was met with kindness as a new student. She said he leaves seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

So sorry to hear of Hollland's passing. I knew him not only from school but church as well. I got to know his family through their friendship with my parents. His mom and dad were just about as nice as they get. I will say that apple didn't fall far from that tree. Rest in peace, Holland.

Holland was a neighbor. He and my brother, Bill were best friends, attending McMurray College in Abilene together. Holland set up a scholarship under Bill's name, That's typical of Holland. Salt of the earth. Solid character, quietly presented. God rest his soul and comfort his family.
