Comments:

After RHS, I attended Texas Tech, got married to Bill McLelland, graduated, and had two sons before leaving Lubbock. We ended up in Mineral Well, Tx where Bill founded a branch of the American Boys Club. I was talked into trying my hand as teaching which I said I would never do and never looked at another occupation. This was a little unusual since my degree was in advertising art. Because of this calling I have ended up with three Masters and I didn't even like school when I was in high school. I have taught several different subjects, been a GED teacher, Home Bound teacher, Vice Principal at the junior high and high school level, principal of a private school for students in recovery of substance abuse, Dean of Students for a district and taught at Tarleton State University. There is not one day I would change.
Bill and I divorced in 1995 and I was fortunate to meet a man that could corral my strong personality. His name is Jim Stephens and we have been together for 17 years. We built a business together of remodeling houses while we both held down full time jobs. Now we are both retired and live in Parker county with 2 horses, 1 donkey, 3 dogs and 5 chickens and feel very blessed. I spend a great deal of time following my grandchildren around while they play sports all over the country and love every minute of it. I also do volunteer work for Tarrant County Emergency Services.
Well life continues to bless me. I have moved closer to my youngest son in Aledo and because of COVID,Jim and I decided to go our separate ways. It was my decision since I did not want a disease to dictate how I spent my remaining days. I now have a travel trailer that I hook up and take off where the wind blows me and enjoy every second. I also still volunteer working for the Center of Hope in Weatherford.Tx.
The latest picture added is my whole family. Bill and I are good friends and still holds a place in family gatherings. Like I said, I am so blessed.

School Story:

My strongest memory is of Ms Gayden. I thought at the time she was the strictest teacher I had ever met. I took role for her during my period and she constantly stayed on my butt. Thank you Ms Gayden wherever you are. Not only was English a breeze in college, I used her style when I taught English. I know she would have flipped if she knew I taught.
I also have to add I loved Ms Foote. She had to be the sweetest and most caring teacher I had the pleasure of knowing.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures of the reunion. I certainly enjoyed looking at RHS which brought back some fond memories. The curriculum offered there was amazing. After spending 35 years in the field, it is hard for me to be overwhelmed by but RHS has done it. What a wonderful opportunity the students of today have.
Even though I did not know many in high school, the ones I did, I could not recognize. Could it be we have all changed so much? Guess so.... 55 years does tend to change our appearance but it is all for the good. We are still breathing!
Thank you again for the posts.
