Joseph Benham Horn, III, age 67, died at his home Wednesday evening.

Joe was born in McKinney, Texas to Joseph Horn, Jr. and Wahneeta Jones.

Joe worked as a private investigator and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam.

He has lived in Hemphill for 30 years coming there from the Dallas area.

Joe is survived by his wife, Becky Horn of Hemphill, three daughters; Tammy Horn Johnson of Burleson, Texas, Tamara Hyden of Victoria, Texas and Amber McGown of Hemphill, three sons; Tommy Horn of Houston, James Wright of LaPorte, Texas and Chad McGown of Hemphill. He is also survived by three sisters, Dana Kent, Teri Grigsby, and Cindy Graham and fifteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Wahneeta Jones, his father Joseph Horn. his sister Carolyn Morrow, two grandsons, Chad Horn and Chad McGown, II.

Funeral services will be at 2pm Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas.

Burial will follow in the Rosevine Cemetery, near Hemphill.
