Well, I didn't finish school, as I proclaimed that I would. I started studying French at BYU until I met my prince charming in 1990 and started my family. I have 5 children now--and one foster girl--and they pretty much keep me running 24/7. In these past 20 years, I have learned a lot about life through simple day to day experiences. I (I should say "we"--Dave and I) nursed a baby through kidney cancer (of which she is a survivor!). We owned an auto repair shop in Orem for several years-I was the book keeper--until we felt the urge to move to St. George. I have been lucky enough to be a "stay-at-home" mom, but I bought a franchise and started a children's music business in 2000 called Harmony Road Music Academy because I wanted my kids to have a strong musical background. I started it in my living room with a small group of children, moved to a shed in my backyard, and then finally a location in town because it was growing so well! This business was so rewarding and very successful for 5 years until I realized that I was away from home too much when my kids were home from school. So, although it was a hard decision to make, I sold it. I really loved my "job," but it was the best decision for my family. Luckily, Wendy Hendrickson McGee introduced me to another amazing business that I could do from home called Heritage Makers. It has been fun to reconnect with one of my best friends from RHS and be a part of a company that has the most amazing mission! I have become addicted to the stories of other people and am learning history more now than I ever did with Mr. Player! I also teach children's voice one hour a week at Diamond Talent here in St. George (to get my "fix" for teaching music). I fill my "spare" time keeping busy with church callings, supporting my talented kids in their endeavors, supporting my husband in his amazing business in the health and wellness industry (Isagenix...anyone heard of it?), finding old friends on facebook, and helping my sister run the Due West street team site on myspace. (Due West is my brother Tim's country trio--they just released their first single on country radio! Check them out at DueWest.com! How's that for an advertisement! ha ha)
Life is pretty much amazing! I'm really excited for our 20 year reunion, although I am pretty much positive we are not old enough!
Assemblies: Living Camo, Hans and Franz,LHA club, etc etc.
All the musicals...they were a blast!
Throwing a fit in Mr. Players class...kind of embarrassing...
So many!
watching my kids perform, Due West, Heritage Making, reading, singing, going out with Dave
