I remember Richard being a leading thespian at Huguenot. He was quite popular with the girls.

He roomed with Larry Harizanoff at UVA the first and second years; I attended there also. Richard was in Navy ROTC at UVA and had plans to attend law school at Duke when he got out.

He was a wonderful guy. I last saw him in 1971.

Richard was a very dear and kind young man. He was part of the Drama club and yet managed to be well liked by all the jocks too! He became a friend and fellow artist and his passing has left a hole in humanity.

Take care my dear friend and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

Richard lived down the street from me, when I was in Middle school. He was very kind/ cared a lot for his parents.

Kathy Grubb Meadows lived next door to him.

May you be at peace.

Richard and I became instant friends when he moved to Bon Air. He, Larry Harizanoff and myself hung around together and continued as friends when he attended UVA. I lost contact with him when he moved to Atlanta for his job in the trust dept. at Sun Trust Bank and was saddened at his passing. We had spent lots of splendid times together playing board "war games". He was an excellent stategist and whipped me almost every game. (I think I only won once!!!) I knew he would do well in the military (He was in R.O.T.C. at Virginia) and he made Lt. junior grade in the Navy. He was a very kind and dear friend and I will certainly miss him.

I too, remember Richard most for the good times we had doing the plays at Huguenot.

It was so enjoyable to be in his company.

I think of Billy Bud in Moby Dick (I resented having to read it then but appreciate it now) when I remember Richard. A great person and a real loss to us all.

Aside from all Richard did at school, he was also an exemplay Sea Scout. I was fortunate to share some cruises with him on the Corsair.

I was just one of the girls with a not too secret crush on Richard. He was a wonderful friend and I was sorry to lose track of him after I graduated from nursing school. He was such a kind person.
