Cynthia Klisz Morton

After graduating from JMU in 1989, I came back to Richmond and worked for Governors Baliles and Wilder. Later I worked for the State Medicaid Department. In 1997, I married Jack Morton (Hampden Sydney '89) and in 1999, we moved to DC. We are both involved in politics and I have been working for a trade association lobbying Congress since then. My parents still live in the area (Bexley) and one of my brothers, David, is a Detective for the Hanover Sheriff's Department.

We had a son, Jake, in 2002 and he is a rising 3rd grader. We live just a block north of DC in Bethesda, MD and I am still trying to figure out how a Virginian ended up in Md!!
