Stephen M. Stanley, 46, of Chester, passed away Thursday December 28, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Carlton & Juanita Rowe Stanley. He was a member of the Chester Outreach Church of the Nazarene, an ordained minister of the Nazarene Church, a Pittsburg Steelers fan, retired carrier from the Richmond Post Office, and was honorably discharged from The United States Navy September 29, 1983, where he was a First Class Engineer aboard a nuclear fast attack submarine. He is survived by his loving wife Connie Stanley; daughters, Jessica M. & Rachel E. Stanley; brother, Ronnie Stanley & wife Mary; sister, Becky Davis; loving aunt, Shirley Smither; father & mother-in-law Lenny & Grace Hall; sister-in-law, Karen Browder & husband, Steve; and numerous nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends tonight 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Saturday, December 30, at 1:00 PM. Interment will be Wednesday January 3, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia Virginia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chester Outreach Nazarene Church 13930 Happy Hill Road Chester, Virginia 23831. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
