Gil Miles and I last saw Yogi sitting on a hill at the golf tourmanet event for the 50th Reunion. it was great to see him and I'm glad we had the opportunity to talk to him that day! Yogi's humor prevailed ~

I will always remember Mrs. Schlenk calling him down the halls of Glen Allen Elementary: "Billy get back here". As he disappeared around a corner. He was quite the character. 😍

Yogi was always so upbeat at school.  Was fortunate to know him.  RIP

One of my best friends. We met at about age 10 playing Little League Baseball. He got the nickname Yogi from naturally, Yogi Berra. He was guit a guy behind the plate . We later blayed at HHS for three years under Coach Keeton. Yogi was also a very good running back for our football team . Running fullback he led the team in scoring in 1966 . We stayed in touch over the years as did Rick Moore and Syd Chapman. We went to Charlottsville while he was in town for the 50th reunion to watch UVA play baseball .We shared a lot of memories about  ball games and the fun we had in High school.RIP old buddy .A lot of us will miss you.

My prayers of comfort for all your family and friends.

Yogi and I played on the 9th grade football team at Brookland Jr. High.....we were the only Brookland team that went undefeated up to that year! Yogi and I had to go up against each other on the blocking boards a few times and he kicked my butt, to say the least. The only other worst thing was having to tackle Tommy Lindsay and knock the ball out of his arms.....he was nice enough to drop the ball on my third try...bless his heart!

Yogi and I were best buddies from then on......I know he's in good hands now because our Lord and Saviour took him to Paradise!

I'll miss you, buddy! See you in Paradise, my friend!  Ken Grubbs
