I think the least expensive idea would be best, so if bassett is less expensive it gets my vote. I only say that because with the economy so bad if we pick somewhere more expensive than not as many will come if they can't afford it. I helped plan my hubby's class reunion last year and I think Matt's idea of a whole weekend is good because that is typical what they do with calss reunions anyways. Usually you have a dance/dinner for the adults, then a picnic or something for everyone to come and bring thier families. A less formal event. For example they went for dinner and drinks on Friday after thier homecoming game, then on Saturday they had a picninc at the city park and had hamburgers, hotdogs, fruit trays, veggie trays, and one of the ladies husbands was a dj so he dj the music. It was nice because everyone had a more laid back time, and those with children could bring them and the children could play. Last year the class of 98 kinda of did the same thing. I am not saying we should be exactly everyone else, but a whole weekend is typical the routine. My mom and husbands mother said it was the same way when they had thiers, and I think it would be nice to have something like a family day. Like I said I think we should totally think anout keeping it affordable for everyone. I am avialable to help with whatever. The city park was 30 dollars to rent last year. Also I know some good Dj, and can check prices on that as well. I may even be able to swing for nothing or close to it. I don't care either way where it is at, I vote for the least expensive one so that more people will have a chance to come.
