Grove City College-BS Math, 1962. MS Personnel Mgt-Central Michigan-1978; AAS Natural Resources Mgt, Lord Fairfax CC 1995. -taught HS Math one year before entering the USAF-spent 29 years before retireing, back to teaching-as a substitute for several years-lots of fun; Director and Naturalist for children's Day Camp 1996-2012. Now fully retired-but still doing lots of volunteer work in our community and leading nature oriented walks.
School Story:

Many fond memories of RHS, Homeroom, IM Basketball, softball games, and Jr. and Sr. plays. Lots of fun and friends-but NOT enough studying and too much clowning around

What Primary School did you attend before RHS?

What's your favorite memory of RHS?

Friends, some very special ones, basketball, Homeroom.pick-up softball and football games; School Plays--and the casts.

What's your least favorite memory of RHS?

Solid and Trig (actually the class was fun-but the homework wasn't); the goal post--and pre-season track meet in Ramsey.

High points of your life since high school?

Grove City College; Soccer (Captain); Teaching HS Math; many great Air Force/DoD assignments/travel.

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to our time at RHS?

Pay more attention to, be more considerate of, friends; study and do some homework. Take better care of myself--not so many trips to NY.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

use to see several-but not often enough. Now too far and seem never to have the time to visit. Phone, cards and E-mail is about it. And several I never see, but wish I did. Promise to try harder.

Cool things you have done?

Spent 5 years with the 89th Special Msn Wing (Pres/VIP air fleet); had several Command positions. Traveled a lot, caught some very nice trout in Alaska, Montana and New Zealand.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I really do a lot of volunteering and working with children and community.

Do you have a 'Bucket List'?

In my head--and it is too full.

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

Be more open about my feelings.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

What spare time? Too many volunteer activities. Still like to be outdoors, fishing, hiking, leading nature walks, etc.

What is the dumbest thing you ever did and don't mind sharing?

Being too non-forgiving and not sharing my true feelings.

Lived one of your dreams?

Fishing in New Zealand

Ever been on TV?

Yes-interviewed regarding major telecommunications services at Wright-Paterson AFB and the Dayton, Oh area.

Favorite place to go?

Montana, Beaverkill, N.Y. Hawaii; Ireland and New Zealand

Places you want to go?

Back to New Zealand; Ireland.

If you could build a second home anywhere, where would it be?

Somewhere remote-Montana ? New Hampshire?

How do you see yourself in 10 years?

Still able to do things I love, but with a realistic knowledge that I can, but not at the same level as today..

When was the last time you belly laughed?

Last week watching the interaction of some Hummingbirds, squabbling over the feeders'

Any words of wisdom?

Be nice to everyone; learn to say 'no' before retirement. say hello or Hi to folks when you pass-and smile; you could make someone's day!

2025--wow; we have lost and miss many of our classmates since we graduated in1958. Let us all be happy for those that are still with us to venture into the New Year. Hope everyone has had a Happy Holiday season and made some sound and achievable resolutions for the coming 12 months. Take care my friends. Phil

Hi Robin-Happy Birthday-hope this message finds you well and happy. Don't keep in touch with many of our old Glen Rock crowd, but do call Chuck Omsberg once in a while. Surely would love to get the Glen Rockers from RHS class of 58 together one more time-just to say 'Hi' to all.--But now that most of us are at least 80-getting together again seems doubtfull.
