Eileen was born on May 13, 1951 and passed on March 16, 1998. We were told that she lived alone and died in her sleep. No other details of her passing are known to us.
Blessings to her family from Mercy Class of '69.
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone,
for part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

Eileen was one of the kids who I shared all my classes with during our four years at Mercy. I knew her, of course, but not well. I just remember her being smart and pretty and if I remember correctly, kind of quiet. I distinctly remember her always fussing with her hair when it wanted to fall in her face, oh, and her beautifully manicured and polished nails and perfect makeup...which we weren't supposed to wear. :)I don't remember what was so notable about our gym classes but she enscribed my yearbook with her beautiful penmanship and told me to "never forget our wonderful gym classes"...I wish now that I could remember them. I'm sure she's referring to all the laughter we shared during that less than inspiring class. She was not the athletic type.
Eileen passed over the year before our 30th reunion and didn't come to our 20th. I remember searching high and low for her in phone books and calling her old neighbors in an effort to find her. Flynn is not the most uncommon name in the world. I was shocked to hear she had died and wonder what her life was like after high school. Her life was short, but I do hope she found happiness while she was here. We're not supposed to die at 46. May God bless her and may she rest in eternal, blissful, peace. I'll see you on the other side, Eileen!
