Played four years baseball and with the Montreal Expos. Coached baseball at Georgetown College and received MBA in Secondary Administration.
Coached at Newberry College and University of Florida. Lucky to be married to the same girl, Penny, after dragging her all over the country chasing a dream. Still stay competitive through fishing the IFA Ranger Redfish Cup with my son and have made it to the championship the past two years. Also still try to make decent contact with a bat and ball by playing on a 50 and older traveling softball tournament team. Won the ISA World Championship a couple of years ago. We have enjoyed living in Sebring as it is pretty laid back and we know most everyone over here.

So many good friends and teammates. Loved looking for a win on Friday night and loved it when we found one on Sat. morning! L.A. and Robin's mom letting us eat and use their pool. Mrs. Carter for letting us have parties at George's house, Mrs. Delosh for cooking her doughgods, Mr. Lott for always talking fishing with me, my dad, the "Bossman" for making sure the team was fed at Morrisons which John Meehan and Bill Wilson later owned. The committee. Coach Knowles for his sincere interest in his players and scratching his head when Bubba would draw up the plays in the dirt! Robin not being able to see the time clock and asking how much time left and Doll and Lott getting all wired up and telling him what they thought. Capt. Alex's dances. The old rec hall on 13th street where all the Rivera kids hung out. The wall at the beach. Swimming over to Peanut Island. The bonfires before homecoming were awesome. The closeness of everyone at RBHS. An awesome place to grow up and to go to school.
