First Football game of the 2010-11 season was tonight... Cave Spring 41 Staunton River 21!!

It was a great game and the Knights lead bt Josh Woodrum looked amazing!!!

Come and and support them at a game if you get a chance!!

If you haven't heard our Cave Spring Jr High School is being torn down at the end of the current school year. The school is now Imtermediate School. My family and I went by a week ago and took pictures as is now. Wow the football field is awsome.

So.. the second football game of the season brought Graham high to Roanoke.. Only for them to have a long ride home after the mighty Knights beat them 47-14!!  2-0 !!! What a great way to start out the year. WE are at Northside next week, then the next week we have the Homecoming game against Patrick Henry.. What a balst from the past for us older Knights. Come out and support the team!!!!

The third football game of this year saw the Knights travel to Northside. We played the Vikings twice last year, with the last one being for the state championship. Northside beat us last night 37-21. It was a well fought game and there are predictions that we will meet them again this year.. But let's hope we win the second one.

Next week is Homecoming against Patrick Henry. The parade leaves the high school at 6 pm and the game starts at 7:30. Come out and support the Knghts!!

Tonight was homecoming and it was another successful night for the Knights! We had a great parade and a packed house to watch the mighty Knights stomp Patrick Henry 33-7 !!! We are away next week at Alleghany!!

It was a long drive home tonight for the Knights as they fell to Alleghany County in OT 28-27. We are off next week then back at home on Oct. 8 to Salem. Come out and support your Knights. It promises to be a good game !!!

What a wonderful "Knight" in SW County!!  Salem came to Bogle field thinking they would be taking home another win. With several of Salem's players out with either food poisioning or suspensions... We heard both... The Mighty Knights of Cave Spring rocked Salem's work with the first loss of thier season.. We won it 34-6!!!!  It was awesome!!! Next week we are away at Pulaski!!!    GO KNIGHTS!!

Cave Spring made the trip to Pulaski tonight and came home a winner again!! The mighty Knights rolled Pulaski 41 -19 !! We are home next week to Blacksburg!

Another wonderful win for the Knights tonight. Blacksburg came to Bogle Field only to be sent home with the Knights winning it 49-21!  Next week we are away in Christiansburg who are undefeated!!  Cross your fingers!!!

The Knights headed to Christiansburg tonight to face an undefeated team. CBurg won the game 42-18. CS has only one more game to go this year. We are "away" to Hidden Valley next week. Come out and support our Knights as we take on the Titans!

Hello to all

Just wanted my classmates to know that my son Thomas will be the New Throws Coach at Cave Spring. He Graduated from Bridgewater College this past May 2010, He was on the Bridgewater Team for four years Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field. He is a good Athlete. I am very proud of him. How great I feel to have him walk the path I did when I was in school. Congradulations Thomas, Good Luck to the Cave Spring Team.....

The last regular season game was tonight. The mighty Knights once again showed the Titans from Hidden Valley that Bogel Field belonged to them. CS took the game 34- 10!!! That gives us a 7-3 record and we are in the playoffs. As far as we know now, we have a bye week next week.

I am so glad to be able to make another football post this season. Tonight was round 1 of the playoffs and the Knights hosted Grundy at Bogle Field. The mighty Knights came out on top with a score of 50-14 !!! Next week we are up against Richlands who is 10-0. They beat Martinsville tonght 63-19 !!! So say a prayer forour Knights for next week.

Tonight was head Coach Tim Fulton's birthday.. What a great gift!!!

Sad end to the Knights season tonight as Richlands beat them 36-23. They should be proud of the wins and the fact they were the only team in the Roanoke area to make the playoffs!!

Happy New Year, all. I've been thinking about our class of '78 today, and going through my yearbook. I looked up all our classmates who have died--so I am sure I have the right face with the name!--and those who have gotten in touch on this site and on Facebook. 

Even with our flaws and screw-ups, we sure had a talented and positive class. Lots of beauties, some very caring and intelligent people.  C'mon, hugs all around...

Tonight the mightly Knights rolled into Martinsville and rolled over the Bulldogs by the score of... 50-29~!!!!  Way to go Guys!!

Next week we are home to Northside.  To warn all of you, with the construction going on at the middle school... the parking is a nightmare. I suggest getting there early... Gametime is 7:30 !!

What an awesome night!!   The Mighty Knights traveled to Lord Botetourt tonight to come home with a 34-18 win. It is football weather here in Roanoke as it was in the mid 50's at game time.. next week is Homecoming against Alleghany. The parade leaves the high school parking lot at 6pm.
