William Ammerman

I attended Virginia Western Community College after high school and achieved a degree in Electronic Technologies. I was married in 1982 and Moved to Richmond Virginia. I had 2 children and started my career in the audio/video field. We lived in Tidewater for 15 years before moving back to Richmond in 2000. That is when I built a racecar and started racing at local asphalt short tracks. I sold the racecar in 2008 and have driven for a few different teams when asked. I had a blast racing. I became a grandfather in April of 2009. I am now remarried and having fun in life.

Remember being behind the school bus one rainy morning in my jacked up 1968 Camaro. I had the car loaded with friends and thought I would show off to some of the students on the bus. We were turning from Merriman Road onto Chaparral Drive. I thought I would punch it and spin the tires. Punched it a little too hard and got the car sideways. I over corrected and ended up taking out the hedges on the corner house. I kept going with about half the bushes still under my car. Everyone was laughing except me. My face was too red!
